My partner and I plan to put up a service oriented business. The most strategic location for now is at malls as it complements most of the businesses there. Can you share the challenges and how you succeed in leasing an area on mall/s.

As far as I know, your challenge is really in keeping your profit at par with the leasing expenses.
Try to talk to a leasing agent or manager and go over the potential costs that your business will incur and then see if that amount is something your business can generate within a week or two, at the most.
Also, be very particular with the rules of the mall, some of them will require you to follow a certain layout and interior design – which could affect how you will run your business.
Thanks Fitz sa input. Actually, I will be doing that when I visit PH this Dec.
Btw, if its ok what are the businesses you are with now? (Sorry dito ko natanung di ko alam kung may PM dito eh… š
@patrick – nope, walang PM dito… pero good idea, will try to work on having that feature added. š
Anyway, to answer your question, I have an internet cafe, an I.T. outsourcing company and an online t-shirt store – http://www.bloggershirts.com.
