Hi erds, currently, there are no forex trading firms in the Philippines – so if you want to trade forex, you would have to open an offshore dollar bank account.

Right now, I’m in the process of learning about forex trading and how to do it online, so expect that I’ll be writing more about it on my blog soon.

I’m studying through Mr. Mark So, and have actually partnered with him so people who are interested can get a special learning discount through my.

You can check out this post regarding the forex semiinar

Moreover, the starting capital to trade forex is USD 300 – but that’s through my broker. Others could ask less or more.

Lastly, it’s similar to stock trading in many ways. The biggest difference I think is that it’s open 24 hours a day, 6 days a week – unlike the stock market. So you can literally trade almost anytime you want.

Also, as there are only 7 major currency pairs to consider when forex trading, unlike stocks where there are hundreds of companies. So doing technical and fundamental analysis is less time consuming.

And third, and this is just my observation – forex is easier to do fundamentals than stocks because currencies involve the economy of specific countries and that’s easier to analyze than the performance of individual companies, right?

Do you have any reading material or site where we can learn forex trading by ourselves? Right now, i’m looking at: http://www.easy-forex.com/ site. Do you recommend that?

    Thanks in advance!

For those who cannot attend the forex seminar, you can actually sign up to become a starter member at Forex Club Asia here.

It’s free and you will have access to their free online course. Moreover, I would actually recommend http://www.fxcm.co.uk/ because that’s where I opened an account.

They likewise have online trading tutorials plus you can download their trading platform and practice with a demo account for free.
