What is the next step after emergency fund?

What is the next step if you already have your emergency fund?

Get a life insurance?

Invest it on stocks, mutual fund etc?

Buy properties for passive income?

   After the emergency fund, the next step is to invest.

   Where would depend on your financial status.

   If you’re young, single and working. You can invest it in moderate to aggressive investments like the stock market.

   If you’re married with no children, but planning to have one soon, try conservative to moderate investments like mutual funds.

   If you’re married with children or dependents, then life or term insurance would be good.

   Real estate is like starting your own business… it can be high risk, but if you have the time, the energy and the passion to work for it – then it’s always a good investment anytime, in my opinion.

   Thanks for the reply, Fitz.

   I am married with 3 kids. 😀 I have a PhilamLife educational plan for child#1; a Nuvali lot and a duplex apartment (on going construction) for passive income. And, starting the emergency fund now. Yeah, just now but better late than never, right? 😉

   Life Insurance? With VUL, perhaps? I’m currently researching on that. 🙂

   What else? What about an educational plan for child#2? Are educational plans still hmm ok? Is PhilamLife still ok?

   Philamlife is still okay. You might want to try other options like AXA or Sunlife.
